WHAT IS HAPKIDO? Hap means coordinate, Ki means the essence of power, Do means the art or way. Hapkido means "The art of coordinating power." Hapkido is a martial art of Korean origin. Hapkido is designed strictly for self-defense through its utilization of joint manipulation, kicking, grappling and throwing techniques. Hapkido teaches incomparable techniques to students of all ages. Hapkido incorporates advanced techniques that can be implemented on a more practical level. Individuals who reach Hapkido Black Belt have a vast knowledge of self-defense ideals and techniques comparable to none. |
