Founder and President of Jin Jung Kwan Hapkido-USA, Inc. and owner of Professional Defense Services, LLC, Grandmaster Michael Rhoades has studied and taught martial arts in every venue possible over the past twenty-five years.

Grandmaster Rhoades has received his 7th Degree Black Belt in Jin Jung Kwan Hapkido from the Founder of Jin Jung Kwan -- Grandmaster Kim Myung Yong. Grandmaster Rhoades holds international certification through the Korea Hapkido World Association as well as the Korea Hapkido Federation. He also holds his 6th degree Black Belt Kukkiwon certification from the World Taekwondo Federation.

Grandmaster Rhoades travels around the world expanding his knowledge and his students are fortunate enough to reap the rewards! Having been featured on television and in several martial arts magazines. He is a well-recognized individual on an international level. Traveling to South Korea regularly to attend the International Hapkido Championships, Grandmaster Rhoades maintains a strong relationship with his instructors.

Grandmaster Rhoades also holds the honor of being the first non-Korean ever to graduate from the Master’s Course hosted in Korea in 2001 with honors.

Grandmaster Rhoades offers training to instructors in the art of Jin Jung Kwan Hapkido on a national level. Instructors belonging to the organization are offered ample opportunity to further their training directly under his guidance.

Maintaining the integrity and professionalism necessary to preside over such a prestigious organization, Grandmaster Rhoades strives to promote Jin Jung Kwan throughout the United States.

Grandmaster Rhoades served with Special Operations in the Army before opening his first school in Missouri in 1994. He also provides training to law enforcement departments with defensive tactics program and combatives training for military units.
