OUR LOGO - OUR COLORS

The Rhoades Korean Martial Arts logo is much more than bright colors. Purple and yellow have always been colors that I have been drawn to, and black is a color I have always worked towards. Since I began teaching I always wanted to create a logo which exemplifies my experiences as a practitioner as well as Master.

The color yellow symbolizes elegance, culture and life giving power of the sun. It signals hope, wisdom, creative inspiration and a belief in a bright future.

The yin and yang in our logo represents equals and opposites, a never-ending cycle of constant learning. The yin and yang is also shaped to demonstrate motion as our lives use time.

The color purple means you are drawn to matters of the spirit, a sign of royalty. In Christianity, it symbolizes the power of the Holy Spirit; it is associated with introspection, other worldliness, mysticism, and faith.

The kicking figures in middle of the logo are in black representing dignity. There is a male figure on the left-for man came first and a female figure on the right to compliment man. This is to symbolize that martial arts is for everyone, and neither one may exist without the other.

To the average person envisioning a fist on the logo would merely think of punching, whereas the practitioner in time would come to realize the knowledge in the fist and how to apply it.
