“Hapkido has been the one true passion in my life. It was this passion that led to the founding of Jin Joong Kwan and its subsequent dissemination throughout South Korea and the rest of the world. This single mission has afforded me the luxury of teaching many brilliant students and passing on the knowledge of what I consider to be an exceptional martial art. Recently, there has been a major development in martial arts with the introduction of mixed martial arts. While I applaud this development, I believe that Hapkido is the foundation from which other art forms can be built upon. It is this solid unshakeable spirit of Hapkido that I wish to pass on.”
In 2012 I appointed GM Michael Rhoades to 8th degree black belt, Vice President of Jin Joong Kwan (Jung Jung Kwan) as well as my family name Kim Tae Hun. In 2019, I appointed GM Michael Rhoads to 9th degree black belt and President of Jin Joong Kwan (Jin Jung Kwan) to oversee operations internationally.
